So sorry!

I know, I know... I have completely neglected this blog. I am so sorry! But I am working on something amazing! And huge. And life changing. I really can't say yet what it is but it is going to be the most fabulous thing I have ever done! It is not a craft or home decor item. I am talking something that is BIG TIME! I can hardly contain my excitement and I promise to tell you all about it when everything is finalized. Until then though, I will probably be MIA. Preparing something on this large of a scale takes tons of time. And energy. And work. But it is going to be SO fantastically worth it!!!!

Long Time no Post!

Wow, has it really been like 5 days?! We have been SO busy! I haven't been home much at all. Let's see... Last Thursday my mom and I went shopping. We found a great sale at Hancock Fabrics. 75% off a ton of fabrics! I bought some flannel for the burp rags and blankets that I have been making. Friday we drove to a Pamida a half hour away because they had double coupons!!! We NEVER have double coupons at any stores around here so it was awesome! The best part was that it was also customer appreciation day so we got an additional 20% off! I got $120 worth of stuff for $40. Yay! This weekend we had a shower for some good friends on Saturday. That took up pretty much my whole day and then on Sunday we worked in the yard. You would think that since I am not working, I would have a ton of free time but lately I haven't had nearly enough time to get things done. We are having a garage sale this weekend and then we have 3 craft sales that we are doing in the next couple months. Busy! If that isn't enough, I am not feeling well (last night and today) so I don't have anything fun and exciting to post. But I am still here!

What a klutz!

I fell twice today. TWICE! Both times were on our rocky concrete stuff outside our front door. The first time was not too bad. I skinned my left knee a little but not horrible. The second time I ended up with my right arm and hand in mud and skinned my left knee AGAIN! This time it ripped my jeans and started bleeding immediately. It hurts!

I think I will go to bed now. Or eat cookies.

Last week I stopped at Walmart for some misc. items. I was browsing the aisles and saw that the curtain panels and clip rings that were on clearance ( I had been eyeing these) were marked down even more! I have seen what The Nester can do with ring clips and an hoping I can replicate what she has done so I giddily scooped up four packages. They are $2 per pkg!!! The curtains were also marked down even more. Of course, I would NEVER buy a premade curtain to actually use as a curtain! So I bought 2 sets (4 panels) of 36"x60" kitchen curtains in a fabric that matches my living room and I am working on taking all of the stitching out so I can make throw pillows. They were $2.50 pre pkg!!! If that wasn't enough, I noticed that lamps were on clearance also. We need matching nightstand lamps for our bedroom... So I bought 2 for $3 each! I was thrilled with my finds and am actually going to go back today to see if I can score any other deals. So if you have a Walmart by you and you need/want any of these things, I would suggest you run over there today :-)

Our Weekend

Wow, did I really not post all weekend?! Crazy! I will make up for it now...

We were planning on finishing our landscaping project this weekend. OF COURSE we woke up Saturday to rain. So we actually had a bit of a relaxing weekend. OF COURSE we also worked on the master bathroom plumbing. We got the drain and overflow plumbing in so we can now run the tub! Check it out:

Saturday night we went over to our good friends, Scott and Jessica's, house. We all love to play Monopoly so every few months we have a Monopoly night. We had SO MUCH FUN!!! We laughed and laughed. Acutally, at times Jamie could not stop laughing. It was wonderful to see him enjoying himself like that!

On sunday we worked on the bathroom more and my mom stopped by to bring me presents. The party that she was the decorator for was on Saturday so she brough me leftover fabric and flowers. She brought me five bunches of fabric but you can only see four in the picture because I immediately covered my foyer table with an orange and green fabric. Perfect for Halloween/Fall!

(Yes, my sewing machine is on my dining room table. My sewing/craft room is not finished so what else can a girl do?!? Ha!)

It is raining again today. I haven't mowed for WEEKS because we have had our yard full of landscaping supplies. I guess I won't be able to do it today either. I think I will go shopping instead! Hehe!

Friday's Project

A couple weeks ago I bought a letter "S" from Hobby Lobby. Our last name begins with S, you see. I also bought scrapbook paper in a design that appealed to me and goes well with our decor. I decoupaged the paper onto the letter and bought a frame from Walmart. But of course the frame I bought was too small. Today I bought a larger one and finished the project. Sorry for the poor quality pictures but for some reason the stupid thing wouldn't photograph well. What do you all think? Oh, and please excuse the mess in the background. I have been baking all day and now am too lazy to put the dishes away :-)
